Many parents start thinking about their children education from the moment of the child birth. This question begins to be more actual when child reaches preschool age. There are many potential benefits of a Montessori preschool for children just starting out in the education process.

First of all, Montessori Method focused on hands-on learning ; when children working on activities that teach language, math, culture and practical life , concrete learning used rather that abstract . Teachers encourage students to concrete on the task, give children opportunities to interact more, allow students to focus on activities until they are properly mastered. Moreover, Montessori system is highly Individualized to each student, and each student is allowed to explore activities and concepts on their own. Students in the Montessori program are allowed to explore activities and concepts at their own pace. This naturally encourages children to try more challenging areas, which accelerates their learning experience.

The another benefit of Montessori Method, that it has specific rules that are enforced by the teachers. The Montessori method allows children to choose the activities they want for each day, and they choose how long they would stay on this task. These "rules" teach children self-discipline, and promotes improving concentration, self-control and motivation skills. But even children are allowed to choose activities they like to do, creativity in classroom is encouraged. Most important not a result, most important the joy children taken out of their work, so children more concentrating on process than on the result, this is natural path to creativity. Even classroom environment teaches children order, all objects and activities have precise locations on the shelves of a Montessori classroom. When children are finished with an activity, they place items back into their appropriate places. This sense of order helps facilitate the learning process and teaches self-discipline.

Montessori Method is beneficial for preschool education, because it is focusing on key developmental milestones in children between the ages of three and five. At age of three children focus on honing large muscle and language skill; at age of four , children working on fine motor skill improvement completing everyday activities; and at age of five , children through special events and trips broaden their learning experience. Teachers in the Montessori classroom facilitating the learning process, and not determining what it would look like. However, teachers do not determine the pace of the classroom – that is strictly up to individual students, as teachers strive to remain as unobtrusive as possible.

What do you think about using the Montessori methodology on early stages of child development?
